Our Green Innovations at Sustainability Behind the Lens Event 

Last week, the NXTGENbps team attended the “Sustainability Behind the Lens” event at Sky Studios Elstree. Organised by The Production Guild of Great Britain’s Sustainability Committee, this event brought together industry professionals to explore the latest green technology from over 20 innovative companies, all focused on reducing the environmental impact of film and TV production. 

We were excited to showcase our zero-emission battery power solutions, highlighting our new packages and 0% finance options, and having discussions about how our advanced battery technology can help productions transition to cleaner energy sources. 

The event also provided a fantastic opportunity to network with industry friends and like-minded professionals to share insights on the challenges and opportunities of implementing green technologies on set. We were able to share our ideas on best practices and potential collaborations, reinforcing our belief that sustainability is a collective effort.

NXTGENbps was thrilled to exhibit with BPS (Broadcast & Production Services) at the recent BSC Expo, held at Battersea Evolution in London on February 15th-17th, 2024. The event was buzzing with activity, providing us with the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and potential partners who share our commitment to sustainability in the media and entertainment sector.

Sustainability has become a paramount concern for filmmakers and production crews alike. By partnering with Green Kit, NXTGENbps continues to aid the film industry’s sustainability efforts, providing a rental option for a clean, quiet, and reliable power source that aligns with their eco-conscious values.

Green Kit recently rented out the Goat to power a satellite link from London to Doha ensuring that the live broadcast from outside of Westminster ran smoothly for the four-hour duration. Martin Langley, cameraman for the broadcast, commented, “Hiring the Goat for this broadcast was a game-changer. It saved the crew tremendous amounts of time with a quick and easy set-up, and being a silent battery generator, we didn’t have to worry about noise interference.”
