Starting the Year at BSC Expo
We had a strong start to our year exhibiting at BSC Expo at Battersea Evolution in London in February. We showcased our zero-emissions power solutions, including NXTGENbps Goat, Meerkat and Fox batteries. The NXTGENbps Meerkat played a key role in ITV News’s live coverage of the Grand National, delivering reliable, zero-emission power for their broadcast. Its portability and efficiency helped overcome logistical challenges while reinforcing ITV’s commitment to sustainable production. Read more>
Sustainable Energy for Motorsports Broadcasts
We partnered with High Viz Media Group to power a motorsports broadcast at the Hethel campus. Using two NXTGENbps Goat batteries, cameras and equipment were powered emission-free, with solar charging maintaining efficiency. Recognition at the RTS Technology Centre 2024 Summer Awards
In the summer, we were proud to be finalists at the RTS Technology Centre 2024 Summer Awards. NXTGENbps was recognised for advancing green technology in media production, including our work on “Ainsley’s National Trust Cook Off,” which saved half a tonne of CO2 emissions while cutting costs by 12%. At the Formula Student event at Silverstone, we partnered with High Viz Media to provide sustainable power for their live multi-camera coverage. The Goat portable power unit delivered seamless, high-quality production for two days without relying on traditional generators – showcasing its agility and reliability for cutting-edge events. Powering ITV Wales’ “Coast and Country”
For ITV Wales’ “Coast and Country” shoot at WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre, the NXTGENbps Goat provided silent, zero-emission energy. Its reliability in challenging weather conditions ensured uninterrupted filming, while minimising environmental impact in this sensitive wetland location. Read more>
Heritage Meets Innovation: Sustainable Power for Train No. 3417
In partnership with Southern Electric Traction Group and High Viz Media, we helped reastore the historic commuter train No. 3417, ‘Gordon Pettitt,’ by retrofitting it with the Goat battery system. This innovative, non-invasive solution powers the train’s lighting sustainably, preserving its structural integrity while bringing modern technology to heritage preservation. Thanks to this collaboration, the train is set to carry passengers once again on the Bluebell Railway. Read more>
