In 2021, one of the world’s leading film studios used our Voltstack 30kW by 60kWh clean energy electric generator or portable power station to replace a diesel generator and provide power for a big-budget production in Los Angeles for four months.
From January 22, 2021, to April 22, 2021, the versatile NXTGEN Portable Electric 30k e-Generator proved to be the ideal solution for a number of power-related problems like enabling set construction on an off-grid backlot by powering tools, saws etc., COVID-19 hand-wash stations, security lighting and cameras, and Wi-Fi hotspots and miscellaneous batteries for the crew. Crucially, the NXTGEN Portable Electric 30k did all of this silently. “Occupational hearing loss, primarily caused by high noise exposure, is the most common U.S. work-related illness… the third most common chronic physical condition in the United States,” says the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Once the NXTGEN Portable Electric e-Generator was up and running, it didn’t take long for the crew to see the value of having a silent, clean energy portable power station powering the production. In a matter of two weeks, the crew was able to optimize the use of the NXTGEN Portable Electric 30k to minimize charge time and eliminate their 20kW diesel generator.
